Miner Family Field
Napa, CA

Review by Mike

For two seasons, 2018 and 2019, the Napa Valley was more than just the most famous vineyard region in America. It was home to professional baseball. The Napa Silverados of the independent Pacific Association played their games at little Miner Family Field, named for a local vineyard.

Set way, way… way back in a public park off the main road, this is about as basic as it gets for professional ball. A field, a little scorekeepers box and a few rows of erector set grandstands. The field is now used by Napa Valley College and the field was certainly in playing shape.

There were a couple of nearby buildings that likely served as clubhouses and restroom facilities, but there were no obvious amenities nor concessions. If nothing else, when the game is over, you’re at least in Napa! I wonder if there was a wine bar...
